Smiling Dog is owned by Trish Houser, SAMP and authorized Dogsafe instructor.  Trish is a nationally board certified (NBCAAM) canine massage practitioner trained in Swedish massage techniques, with a specialty certificate in rehabilitation massage. She is also trained in manual lymphatic drainage, scar tissue massage, hospice care, myofacial release, trigger point work, kinesiology taping and continues her education in accupressure and manual ligament therapy.

Smiling Dog is also owned by Kizmet, the smart, yet beautiful, German Shepherd sidekick and Demo Dog in most of the First Aid classes.
 
Qualifications & Training: 
 
Northwest School of Animal Massage – Foundation Level (200 hours) Performance Massage (150 hours) and Rehabilitative Massage (150 hours) certifications

Dogsafe Canine First Aid Authorized Instructor; (196 hour training program)

 

Veterinary Tactical Group training –

Smiling Dog’s Mission: 

Smiling Dog strives to provide the highest quality animal CPR, first aid, and emergency response training to animal professionals, pet owners, emergency responders, and anyone else who genuinely cares for animals. DOGSAFE is a globally recognized program that offers detailed, hands-on training providing participants with a well-rounded education. DOGSAFE is recognized by local and national veterinary associations, humane societies, disaster response teams, pet businesses and more.  We are an approved continuing education provider by the American Association of Veterinary State Boards, Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, Pet Sitters International and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants.
